Graceful & Wise III. Lihue Sugar Plantation was built in 1849 & is the 1st & oldest sugar plantation in Kaua'i. It was the last sugar plantation to close in state of Hawaii. This plant operated for 151 years & some of the workers were the 4th generation of their family to work there when it closed it's doors in November 2000.
